To make a payment you must first register an account. 

Users can purchase electricity by navigating to the following URL: 
Purchasing electricity is a 4 step process.
  1. Enter your details in the form. 
  2. Once you have completed all the fields, click the "Pay Now" button. You will be presented with a confirmation page to verify your details. If you have entered any details incorrectly you have the option to click the "Make Correction" button to correct the mistake before proceeding: 
  3. At this point you will be routed to the PayFast payment gateway where you can select your payment method. You can view a short video on the checkout process at this link:
  4. Once you have selected your payment method you will be routed to the appropriate form to complete the payment. When your bank has processed the payment you will be routed back to a payment confirmation page on 
Once you are routed back to the confirmation page, your ledger is checked to confirm that the bank has processed the payment and the new ledger balance is retrieved which is then presented to you on the confirmation page.
Your breaker state is also checked. If the breaker is on no further action is taken.
If the state of the breaker cannot be determined for some reason, a message is sent to the support team to investigate.
If the breaker is off and the new balance is above R0.00, then the system attempts to switch on the breaker.
Note: depending on server load and network stability, the process of switching on the breaker may not be instantaneous and can take up to 20 minutes. To avoid this, please ensure that your balance does not reach R0.00.
If your breaker cannot be switched on, a message is automatically sent to the technical support team to investigate and you will be informed via email and/or SMS if there are any problems.
