  • My electricity is not switching on.

    Usually when a payment is received, the electricity will be automatically switched back on within a few minutes. If the contactor cannot be switched, the system will automatically notify the technical support team who will investigate and correct the issue as quickly as possible.

    Occaisionally it is possible that due to unforseen circumstances beyond our control such as cell tower outages, it may take a little longer for the power to be switched on again. If this happens you can try the following:

    Things you can do:

    1. Check whether your neighbours and adjoining businesses are also experiencing a power outage. It is possible that it may be a general problem.

    2. If you have access to the distribution board, check that a breaker on the board has not tripped.

    3. Allow the system a few minutes to attempt the switch on. It is possible that server load, network congestion or other factors may be causing a short delay.

    4. If none of these solutions resolves the issue, please contact support@republicmetering.co.za 

  • Can more than one person make purchases?

    More than one person can make purchases but each person will need to register on the system before being able to make a purchase.

    NOTE:

    Once you have registered, your account needs to be linked to a ledger so that the system can allocate your payments correctly. This is a manual process which can take up to one working day to complete. Please do not make a payment until you have received a confirmation email that that your ledger is active.

  • How do I check my balance?

    You can check your balance at any time by navigating to the following link: https://republic-metering.co.za/balance and logging in with the credentials which were emailed to you.

    You can also check your balance on the payment confirmation page after you make a payment.
